Toothpastes

Are your toothpastes fluoride free?

Consider us fluoride and fancy free.

Yes, all of our toothpastes are fluoride free. As an added bonus they also don't contain any chemicals, SLS, SLES, Triclosan, Carageenan, pesticides, glutens, Saccharin, parabens, artificial additives or sweeteners, propylene glycol, detergents, or synthetic foaming agents.

Does your toothpaste contain SLS or SLES?

Remember how we're USDA certified organic? Well, in order to receive that honour our toothpastes cannot contain any synthetic ingredients. This includes any detergents or synthetic foaming agents like sodium Lauryl sulfate (SLS) or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). So no. No SLS or SLES here.

Does your toothpaste foam?

Our toothpaste has a low foam.

The truth is you really don't need foam to be clean. Equating foaminess with cleanliness is all in your mind put there by years of shampoo commercials showing people having the time of their lives while washing the suds out of their hair. The truth of the matter is that a lot of foam is typically caused by chemicals (like SLS) that are added to your shampoo or toothpaste just to make it foam.

Now, it's also important to remember that there are natural foaming agents that will create a low foam. We did our research and ultimately decided on organic soapberry. Soapberry is a natural foaming agent that has antibacterial properties and has been used in oral medications in traditional Chinese medicine.

Why isn't your toothpaste white?

(Or Green, or multicolour stripes?)

Have you been to the grocery store and noticed a flavour like "blue raspberry?" Well, have you ever actually seen a blue raspberry? Probably not. That's because they don't exist. Those are artificial dyes making that "raspberry" blue. It's the same concept with toothpaste. Mint toothpaste is not actually supposed to be green. So because we don't use any chemicals, artificial additives or dyes, our toothpastes are not going to be pure white or spearmint green or any other unnatural colour. Due to it's organic content, the natural colour of our toothpastes will vary.

Does your toothpaste included carageenan?

Negative. All of our toothpastes are carageenan free and don't contain any chemicals, SLS, SLES, triclosan, GMOs, fluoride, pesticides, glutens, saccharin, carrageenan, parabens, artificial additives or sweeteners, propylene glycol, detergents, or synthetic foaming agents.

Does your Mint Aloe Neem Toothpaste taste bitter?

It's true that neem can sometimes have a bitter taste, but we don't want to brush our teeth with a bitter-tasting toothpaste and we wouldn't ask you to either. The organic neem oil used in our Mint Aloe Neem Toothpaste is for function only - safe, cooling, soothing, and with potent bacteria fighting powers. Bye, bye bitter.

Are your toothpastes vegan?

Is the organic neem oil in your toothpaste safe?

We wouldn't use it if it wasn't.

There are many ways to refine neem oil and we use organic food-grade neem oil that is 100% safe.

What can I expect if I've never used organic toothpaste before?

Prepare to be amazed.

Even though we're sure you're going to love it, we're also not going to lie... it's probably going to feel a little different than what you're used to. If you've been using nothing but conventional toothpastes in the past, we can almost guarantee the two things you'll notice first: the reduced foam and the colour. Typically a lot of foam and unnatural colouring is caused by chemicals or artificial additives. Our toothpastes don't contain any of that - just pure, organic, and natural ingredients. So give it a try. It may take a few days to get in the groove, but we guarantee you'll love it just as much as you love your RADIUS toothbrush.

Is it true that you changed your toothpaste formula?

'Tis true. In early 2017, we decided we wanted to offer a much lighter, smoother toothpaste and so we made a few minor tweaks to our formula that organically enhanced the taste, texture, and the overall brushing experience. Oh, and it's now made in the USA. Which is awesome.

Where are your toothpastes made?

In the good ol' US of A. Just like our toothbrushes and accessories.

Are your toothpastes GMO free?

As a company, we don't believe in GMOs so all of our products are non-GMO. Our toothpaste specifically cannot contain GMOs in order to be certified USDA organic.

We also don't use any chemicals, SLS, SLES, triclosan, carageenan, fluoride, pesticides, glutens, saccharin, carrageenan, parabens, artificial additives or sweeteners, propylene glycol, detergents, or synthetic foaming agents.

Do your toothpastes contain xylitol?

We like our furry friends so no, our toothpastes don't contain any xylitol.

Xylitol is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol and in the very small quantities typically used in our floss it is completely harmless to humans (and it’s safe to drive after brushing!). However even in small doses it is extremely toxic to dogs. So as we know many people use non-pet specific toothpaste on their canine chums, we don’t take any chances.
